Bovis Homes in Staplehurst

Bovis Homes are in the final stages of their Staplehurst development in Kent.

The housebuilder is building 167 new homes at The Meadows, on a 16.5-acre site which was formerly part of Fishers Farm. This development will feature 101 private homes and 66 affordable properties available for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership. So far, the company has built 73 per cent of the private homes and hopes to complete construction at the site in Autumn 2023. Impressively, just 15 of the private homes remain for sale, while 59 of the affordable homes have been completed and handed over.

Alongside the new homes, The Meadows will feature areas of landscaped public open space with ponds and footpaths. Many homes will include an electric vehicle charging point.

Candice McCabe, marketing manager for Bovis Homes, said: “From the outset, The Meadows has proved to be a very popular development, due in no small measure to the fact that the range of two to five-bedroom new homes has been designed to meet the specific demands of the local housing market.

“Construction is coming to a close on the site and many of the new residents have received the keys to their new homes, with a new community beginning to take shape. However, there are a number of properties still available to reserve within this much-sought-after development, which is located in a beautiful Kent village, not far from the coast and with easy access to central London.”

Customers can benefit from up to £1,000 a month for a year to help with their mortgage payments on selected plots at The Meadows, under the Bovis Homes mortgage contribution scheme.

Bovis Homes’ Home Exchange initiative and the Deposit Unlock scheme are also available at the development.

Candice said: “Bovis Homes’ mortgage contribution scheme could see buyers save up to £12,000 on the purchase of a new home at The Meadows. This fabulous offer is open to customers who reserve before 30 June.

“With Home Exchange, we can buy the customer’s old house from them, and that money goes towards the purchase of their new Bovis Homes property. This makes things easier as it avoids any potential problems that may result from being in a chain and means the customer can stay in their own home until their new property is ready for them to move into.

“Deposit Unlock enables purchasers to buy a new home, priced up to £750,000, with just a five per cent deposit. For many people, the biggest stumbling block stopping them buying their own house is having to raise a large deposit. This initiative not only helps first-time buyers but can also be used by those who already have their own home and want to buy a bigger property.”

There is currently a selection of three, four and five-bedroom new homes available to reserve at The Meadows, with prices starting at £429,995.
