Instant success for new homes in Sefton

FIVE sales during the launch weekend proves there’s a demand for new homes in Thornton.

Castle Green Homes has just launched Orchard Place in the popular Sefton village. It’s the fourth North West site for the homebuilder as it expands from its North Wales heartland.

The first properties have just been released for sale “off plan” and have proved an instant success.

Sales and marketing director Caryl Russell said: “We’ve been receiving enquiries from potential purchasers interested in homes at Orchard Place right from when we first announced plans to build here. Demand is such that five eager buyers made early reservations before we launched on site. They’ve all now gone on to make full reservations.  This demonstrates what a popular area Thornton is and that buyers have confidence in our brand to purchase off plan.

“They’ve embraced using Willow, our award-winning customer portal, to find out more about Orchard Place. It enables people to ‘walk’ around the development and ‘inside’ homes before they’re built with the option of viewing properties furnished or unfurnished. Those who create a Willow account will be the first to know when properties are released for sale and when the show homes will be open. Once they’ve reserved a home, it’ll effectively be their digital new homes assistant keeping them updated on the build progress of their home. All of their documents will be stored there and they’ll be able to use Willow to personalise their new home.”

Orchard Place will offer 144 private sale homes, including a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties.  Castle Green will also build 42 homes for affordable rent, plus 20 discount to market value properties.

Current availability includes a choice of three and four-bedroom detached homes, priced from £339,995.

Existing mature landscaping will be retained across the almost 18-acre site to provide a leafy setting for the new homes. Public open space, including a play area, will provide a central focal point and a place for residents of all ages to enjoy.

Along with new homes, Castle Green has agreed to invest circa £800,000 in the local area to help ensure the development is sustainable.

This includes an education contribution for local schools of £460,000. The homebuilder will make an upfront payment of £119,000, plus annual payments of £2,500 for ecological mitigation within the local wildlife area, with a further £60,000 for monitoring.

The company has also agreed to contribute £106,000 for improvements works on Brooms Cross Road and to pay £61,500 for local recreation improvements.
