MCI Developments bolsters growth with trio of senior appointments

MCI Developments, a subsidiary of the national top 10 housebuilder, Keepmoat, continues to deliver strategic affordable homes for its partners and has announced further commitment to the business growth with two new senior appointments and an internal promotion.

Peter Farnworth has been promoted within the organisation from Head of Commercial to Commercial Director, while Mark Hadfield has joined the business as Technical Director alongside Jamie Irving as Land & Partnerships Director.

In his new position as a Director, Peter will head up the commercial function of MCI Developments following his previous role gaining insight and experience in Keepmoat’s North West region. Peter will manage registered partner deals, supported by Jamie Irving who will focus on growing the land pipeline with the aim of regenerating eight disused sites in the North West over the next 12 months.

Both Peter and Jamie have extensive experience within the sector and will work with the wider specialist team in land acquisition to drive the delivery of a diverse range of residential opportunities, from small, high value schemes to large, mixed-use projects.

Commenting on his promotion, Peter said: “I have a strong track record in managing surveying teams and will be streamlining processes at MCI within an already high performing team. One of my main targets in my new role is to get the business operating at 500 units, this is currently sitting at 300 units, so I am excited to get started.’’
Jamie Irving, Land & Partnerships Director at MCI Developments added: “I am delighted to be joining MCI at such an exciting time with the government’s affordable housing agenda firmly in focus.”

Meanwhile, Mark’s role as Technical Director will see him responsible for heading up and overseeing MCI’s technical department to develop the team and grow the business. Bringing more than 27 years’ of experience within the housebuilding sector, most recently working as a Regional Managing Director at Countryside Properties.

Speaking about his new role as Technical Director, Mark added: “I am delighted to join the MCI team and contribute my 27 years of experience to the technical team. I chose to join the business because of its excellent reputation and impressive work portfolio. I’m looking forward to getting started and building a team that will deliver the highest standards of technical and engineering information that will help us drive forward our ambitious plans for business growth.”

Craig Murphy, Regional Managing Director at MCI Developments, commented: “We’re delighted to expand our team and welcome Peter, Mark and Jamie. The need for high quality homes delivered in partnership with local authorities and housing associations has never been greater, and we’re proud to bring a fantastic, highly experienced team together to create homes for the people of the North West.”
