The most significant development in the product category since the invention of the flush toilet in the 19th century, AquaBlade was launched by Ideal Standard last year and its exclusive and patented technology offers the best superior flushing, even at low water volumes.
AquaBlade technology sets new standards in both toilet design and optimum flush performance – the smooth, gently curved surface with no overhanging rim also means it is much more hygienic and easier to clean.
The Housebuilder Product Awards took place at Birmingham’s Edgebaston Stadium. A committee of industry experts, from businesses and organisations including Taylor Wimpey, NHBC and the Construction Products Association made up the judging panel. AquaBlade’s win at the awards ceremony means it automatically qualifies for Product of the Year at the Housebuilder Awards in November 2016.
Leanne Martin, Head of Product at Ideal Standard said: “We strive to use our expertise as global bathroom market leaders to bring an innovative approach to challenges; and bringing meaningful, insight-driven innovation to a toilet is by definition a challenge in itself.
“We refuse to accept that toilets can’t look beautiful and AquaBlade flushing technology embodies everything we stand for. Furthermore, it fulfils the efficiency and performance criteria set by housebuilders and the outstanding aesthetics and ease of maintenance required by homeowners. AquaBlade is a truly revolutionary invention, a milestone in the history of toilets and a game-changing innovation that moves the housebuilding industry forward.
“We’re thrilled that the product, a standout launch from Ideal Standard, has been recognised by the Housebuilder Product Awards.”
AquaBlade has been launched across several of Ideal Standard’s bathroom collections, including Concept and Tonic II – along with the recently launched flagship Tesi range, designed by Robin Levien, within which the technology is available across all WCs as standard.
