Bond Bryan are absolutely thrilled to have won two awards together with Interserve – for our project, Factory 2050 – at the ‘Constructing Excellence Awards’ in Leeds last Friday.

‘Project of the Year’ was “scooped away” from our highly-sought-after competitors, moving us into “the Nationals” later in the year.

Our second prize of the evening was the Health and Safety Award for ‘Exceptional Care and Attention on Site’; Regional Managing Director for Interserve, John Gittins, was also awarded ‘Achiever of the Year’ for his business contribution to the region – a great night for all!

Factory 2050 – the UK’s first fully reconfigurable assembly and component manufacturing facility for collaborative research – has also been shortlisted for the RIBA 2016 Regional Awards, the precursor stage to the Stirling Prize and the Schueco Awards in London, where we will share the platform with fellow industry leaders.

Director, Darren Southgate said: “This project, from start to finish, has been a truly excellent and collaborative effort by our client, the University of Sheffield, the design team and an exceptional contractor, Interserve, who have delivered this innovative project on site. The word team is often much over-used but this project has worked at every level and defines how people should work together – as a team.”
