Retirements at Moores

retire

British kitchen manufacturer, Moores Furniture Group, has bid a fond farewell to a number of longstanding colleagues who have now retired from the company after 40+ years of service. After such a long time at the company, it’s a shame they’re leaving, but they deserve it after so long at the company.

Chris Farthing has been with Moores for almost 47 years. He started as a semi-skilled bench hand before moving to be a Quality Control inspector, and has remained a part of that team ever since.

Ron Smales has retired after an incredible 45 years at Moores. Ron started work as a machinist on the night shift before moving into the spray shop as a supervisor, and then back into machining again.

Frank Mooney started his career at Moores back in 1981 when he joined the despatch department, before moving into the quality assurance team, and then working as a senior production planner for the last 28 years.

Established in 1947, Moores are a UK kitchen manufacturer, operating within a 600,000 sq/ft factory in Wetherby, Yorkshire. With a rich heritage spanning almost 75 years, Moores have built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, taking great pride in their products, exceptional customer service, and a strong sustainability roadmap. Moores design and manufacture their kitchens in close collaboration with housebuilders to develop optimum solutions for high rise, private developments, and affordable housing.
