Vent-Axia on HVR Awards shortlist

Vent-Axia

Ventilation manufacturer Vent-Axia is delighted to announce it has been shortlisted twice in the HVR Awards 2022. The Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV range and the Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C have both been named as finalists in the Domestic Ventilation Product of Year Award category. This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that the same two products have also been shortlisted in the H&V Awards.

This consolidates Vent-Axia’s position, as the company takes another step towards offering more sustainable choices for customers, with its Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV range now made from recycled plastic, and the Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C achieving its efficiency through its patent pending air pathway design.

The HVR Awards has been championing innovation, excellence and achievement across the heating and ventilating industry for ten years. With years of experience, the HVR Awards has developed a process that ensures only the best take home an accolade and has established itself as a highly respected platform for recognition and its trophies – the affectionately known ‘Flameys’ – are instantly recognisable and highly coveted.

Commenting on the shortlist announcement, Lena Hebestreit, Marketing Manager at Vent-Axia, said: “We are thrilled to have been named twice on the shortlist at the prestigious HVR Awards. We’re committed to helping our customers make more sustainable choices, which is why our R&D team has developed the Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV range made from recycled plastic and the Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C which has the lowest SFP on the market. We see this industry recognition as vindication of our staff’s hard work tirelessly improving our product offering.”

The award-winning Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV range of centralised mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) now offers a total of nine units made from recycled plastic. Designed to provide a simple and effective solution to help housebuilders meet the Future Homes Standard, the Multivent MEV range provides the ideal solution for new build residential projects, helping housebuilders meet DER requirements through market-leading energy efficiency and improving indoor air quality (IAQ) for homeowners. Now on top of this the move to recycled plastic further improves the environmental credentials of the product for housebuilders and homeowners. Manufactured from a reliable recycled source, which is regularly available, the new Multivent MEV units are now available in black, rather than white, as they are made from black recycled ABS. The change from manufacturing from virgin to recycled plastic does not affect the function or performance of the MEV units.

Meanwhile, the Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C, a highly efficient de-centralised mechanical extract ventilation (dMEV) unit is designed for kitchen, utility, bathroom and cloakroom applications. The Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C achieves Building Regulations with low sound levels, the lowest number of installed fans required and the most efficient fans on the market. Developed for housebuilders it has been tested to the new SAP 10 performance requirement and is listed in the PCDB with its exceedingly low Specific Fan Power (SFP) values as impressively low as 0.08 w/l/s and provides almost silent operation at 7.4dB(A).
