Mira Showers volunteers transform Sam’s House

Purpose-built home cares for children undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplants

12 volunteers from Mira Showers recently worked with local artist Mike Kingston to brighten up Sam’s House, the purpose-built home for children undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplants at Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Using painting materials and equipment donated by Travis Perkins, the team took just a day to refresh the rooms with striking images under Mike’s direction. The 16 bedroom home is run by Mira’s nominated charity, CLIC Sargent, the cancer charity for children and young people.
