In a continuation of their collaboration with AXOR, British designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have extended their AXOR One collection with a curated palette of coloured taps. Inspired by a specific set of naturally occurring interactions between light, colour and water, the range features six new colours.
Launched in 2021, AXOR One is a ground-breaking bathroom collection designed to create new interactions for greater clarity, enhanced function and superior control. AXOR one features over 30 products including basin mixers, bathtub mixers and a wide range of shower items, unified by a holistic design language of slender silhouettes, flat surfaces, soft corners and balanced proportions. The collection has now been expanded with a new range of colours curated by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
The new collection comprises six colours selected to evoke specific aspects of water in relation to the earth and the sky. Aquamarine’s blue-green captures the chromatic character of a calm sea. Coral is a warm, red-orange tone. Ice is a light, muted blue, seen in the layered blues of glaciers and sea ice. Stone is a strong grey, referenced from the intersection of land and sea. Shell is a cool greyish pink. Sand is the colour of the shore, wet from the ebbing tide.

The colours have been chosen to complement the widest range of bathroom finishes, from enamel and concrete, to marble and wood” Say Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
Each piece has a gloss finish, which reads like a layer of water over the surface colour, adding depth and vibrancy. Just like water, this gloss finish reflects the surrounding environment, whilst providing the easily cleanable surfaces required in a bathroom.
The new colours will be available for pre-order in April via AXOR Signature service.
