Kinedo is a European manufacturer of high-quality shower cubicles, enclosures, trays and – new for 2024 – a stunning range of waterproof panels
The Kinewall range of decorative bathroom wall panels taps into the growing market for patterned panelling to create stunning bathrooms, cloakrooms and utility rooms. With over 70 designs in the range – 22 of which are stocked in the UK for immediate delivery – the thoughtfully curated portfolio of panels includes marble, tile, wood, metals and natural designs. There is also an eclectic range of half and half options that combine wood panelling with marble, tile and floral styles.
Slim and light
The versatile panels, at just 3mm thick and 11kg each, are installer friendly and very light to handle. But they are also very strong and durable thanks to innovative materials and manufacturing. A polyethylene core is sandwiched between two aluminium layers which offers rigidity, but also a bit of flexibility to ensure that cutting to size on site is easy and precise. The panels are manufactured and then printed and varnished in the Kinedo factory in France and comply to EN15200 to ensure resistance to chemical, scratches and corrosion; offering easy maintenance and long-lasting looks.
Easy to install
A huge benefit is the speed of installation. Depending on the nature of the job, a set of panels can be beautifully fitted in just a couple of hours. Of course, if a previous installation requires removal that will add time to the job, but for those in a hurry, wall panels can even be installed over the top of old tiles.
For a housebuilder there is an enormous time saving to be had by specifying wall panels over traditional tiles. Anecdotally, they are up to five times faster to install and there is no need for grout to create a watertight space. With the plethora of styles and patterns to choose there is no compromise on style either. And the lack of grout is not just a benefit to the installer, it means the end user can say goodbye to the potential for discoloured grout and mould. Savvy housebuilders could really use this as a sales tool.
Thermal properties
In today’s climate of expensive heating bills, shower panels also provide thermal insulation which means that they are not only warm to the touch, but potentially in the areas where they are installed the heating can be turned down a notch or two.
Whether the panels are destined for a home owner, home builder or home renovator, Kinewall panels – with 10 years of warranty for peace of mind – offer great looks, easy installation, durability and ease of maintenance.
