With a database of almost 300 potential purchasers, a special preview event is being held to update buyers about new homes being built in Colwyn Bay.
Castle Green Homes is building new homes on land previously part of Rydal Penrhos School. It’s inviting those who’ve expressed an interest in the properties at the Rydal View development to an event at the school’s Hovey Room from 11am to 4pm on January 25.
Castle Green Homes sales director Sian Pitt said: “We’ve been building a database of potential purchasers interested in our new homes in Colwyn Bay since we first revealed plans for the area. Almost 300 people have now enquired, and we’ve been encouraging them to set up a Willow account on our website so that they receive notifications about our progress. We’re also hosting a preview event at which we’ll be explaining over refreshments more about the properties including when they’ll be available to reserve, guide prices and when we expect to welcome the first residents.”
Castle Green Homes acquired 15 acres of land on Pwllycrochan Avenue in the summer, helping secure the long-term future of Rydal Penrhos School and enabling the preparatory and pre-school to relocate to the main school campus, with the former prep school, science and IT building, assembly hall and associated outbuildings all being demolished to make way for the new homes.
The first phase of the development will be The Paddocks at Rydal View, featuring 55 new homes in a choice of three and four-bedroom designs.
It will be followed by The Plateau at Rydal View, offering larger and more luxurious properties in an elevated setting.
Central to the scheme is a children’s play area, which will be set in an amenity grassland area adjacent to existing mature trees.
The new homes are to be built in a leafy location, bounded by woodland and in an established residential area, close to the town centre.
A range of existing services and facilities including schools, health services, public transport, employment opportunities and town centre shopping facilities are all within walking distance of the development.
During the planning process a package of community investment worth more than £265,000, payable to the local authority, was agreed. It includes an education contribution of more than £160,000, almost £50,000 towards public open space, with funding also allocated for parking, library amenities, allotments and waste.
Find out more by joining Castle Green for refreshments at the preview event from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, January 25 in the Hovey Room at Rydal Penrhos School.
