UKCW Role Models will be given an opportunity to speak at UK Construction Week on our Main stage or individual show stages, to take part in our UKCW student initiative, and they will be asked to write blogs among other initiatives. They are also invited to selected events, as well as being VIPs at the main event in October.

Overall UKCW Role Model of the year winner will be announced on 7th October 2020.

Last year’s role models were truly inspirational, and we loved sharing their stories with others in the industry, and crucially, with younger generations thinking about a career in construction. They will be at the show again this year offering advice to career changers, services veterans and college students. Once a role model, always a role model!

Anjali Pindoria, Project Surveyor at Avi Contracts Ltd and UKCW Role Model Class of 2019 Winner said: “We talk a lot about showcasing our industry to attract a new wave of talent and I truly believe that having the UK Construction Week Role Models campaign cements that! We see a vast array of individuals, personalities and humans showcase their careers in an open and honest platform from all parts of the UK so that others can learn from this. I strive to the role model I needed when I was younger and you truly believe you can impact on just that one person then you should strive to be a part of this campaign! It is more than just a day’s event. It’s a family that grows together and betters each other to achieve one goal – to be trail blazers for our industry in our own unique ways and personal paths!”
