MHK unveil kitchen planning software, CARAT, at Living Kitchen at IMM Cologne 2019

MHK, which launched in the UK this year, have announced its return to Living Kitchen during IMM Cologne 14-20th January 2019. New for 2019, the recently launched UK arm of the business – MHK UK – will be present at IMM to showcase its services for retailers as part of Europe’s biggest buying group. MHK will also be unveiling a new development from its kitchen planning software company CARAT.

“MHK has been a key participant and supporter of the IMM in Cologne for many years,” said Kirk Mangels, Board Member of MHK. “Our founder and CEO Mr. Strothoff was a leading figure in promoting Living Kitchen as the leading German kitchen show together with Mr. Böse from the IMM. Today MHK is still key supporter of the fair and we look forward to meeting with retailers at the exhibition to show them the many benefits of being a member.”

Visitors are invited to experience the 432m2 MHK Group stand at booth 10 and 11. In addition, a stand exclusively for MHK Group’s software company, CARAT, can be found at booth 12. All MHK stands are located between Kitchen Halls 4 and 5 in the Koelnmesse centre.

Visitors can expect to see live cooking demonstrations as MHK welcomes chef Christian Mittermeier to the stand for daily cookery demos and visitors are invited to sample his speciality dishes. Additional attendance from MHK service companies will be at the event with supported members with an extensive range of services developed over nearly 40 years. These include marketing, digital support, business management and kitchen specialist planning software from CARAT – all service companies will have a presence at the show.

Software planning demonstrations and hands on training: MHK’s software company CARAT will have its own stand where retailers and suppliers can try Europe’s leading name in kitchen design software for themselves. CARAT will use the show to unveil the Virtual Reality VR, a real-time VR technology for kitchen planning, offering kitchen consultants the ability to virtually immerse customers in the planning process.

This type of technology is new in the industry – as soon as the kitchen design is completed, at the touch of a button CARAT’s software will transform the design into VR, which can then be viewed by the customer through the Virtual Reality Headset.

Living Kitchen will take place 14-20 January 2019 at the Koelnmesse Centre during the wider IMM International Furniture Fair in Cologne.
