Can you describe working in construction in 3 words?
Dynamic, Creative, Inspiring
What job would you like if it weren’t the one you have now?
If I wasn’t doing my job as a planner, I think I would be doing work in the social impact space or as a lecturer or researcher with a Construction and STEM related focus.
When growing up, who did you most look up to and why?
If I have to name just one, probably Grandad, He was a keen writer with a curious nature and a gentle but fierce way of striving for better. He taught me many things. I admired many people growing up (teachers, colleagues), many of who had strong influences on me.
What is your favourite way to spend your evening after a hard day of work?
I like to spend the evenings in varied ways – these can include volunteering, being with friends, swimming, or spending time snuggled with my cat, Smokey while I read!
What would you tell your 16-year-old self if you had the chance?
That everything works out better than you can imagine! You will have happiness – lots of it!
What’s your favourite film and why?
My favourite film is ‘My neighbour Totoro’ by Studio Ghibli – It’s a beautiful film about adventure, courage and curiosity and I resonate with the playful and joyful spirit of characters – there’s a magic to it!
