EGGER, Europe’s leading manufacturer of wood-based panels, has expanded its UK sales and marketing team for building products.

Dan Soulsby has been promoted to category manager responsible for developing and strengthening links between marketing, the external sales team, and key customers to grow the EGGER building products range and services to the market.

Carl Verra, who joined EGGER in 2009 on its graduate development programme, has been appointed to sales representative for building products covering Scotland and North West England.

Keith Brownsword joins the team as building products technical advisor. He began his career in construction site management working for a number of regional and national housebuilders. He has also worked for the Royal Institute of British Architects as a technical author responsible for contributing to the National Building Specification database.

The triple appointment heralds the success of the EGGER Advanced Structural Flooring System, launched two years ago; it has helped the company to maintain its reputation as the industry-leading provider of commercial and domestic structural flooring applications in the UK.

The EGGER Advanced Structural Flooring System is an industry first; it comes with an unprecedented lifetime guarantee and is specifically designed to give customers superior product quality, durability and value for money.

It is based on the company’s portfolio of structural P5 grade flooring boards with enhanced moisture resistant properties, which include EGGER P5, EGGER Peel Clean Xtra and EGGER Protect.

By using a simple six-step installation process it is suitable for both masonry and timber frame build projects and is designed to save house builders both time and money on their projects.

The Advanced structural flooring boards are produced in Hexham, Northumberland on one of the most sophisticated production lines in Europe. They each have a tongue and groove profile created using diamond-tipped tooling for stronger and tighter fitting joints.

“Developing our UK building products team is an important step forward for us,” says Dan Soulsby, category manager for building. “Our product and service range in the UK is far greater than many people realise, and we’re continually seeking to add new elements to it in order to provide our customers with all the support they need to benefit from these opportunities. By developing the team with talented, knowledgeable individuals we’re perfectly placed to do exactly that.”
