A retired couple are enjoying a stress-free lifestyle in Iver after swapping their 1930s detached home for a newly built contemporary house from Kebbell Homes.
George and Wendy Croxon, originally from Notting Hill in London, were instantly won over by their dream new four-bedroom home at Kebbell Homes’ Norfolk Place development on Love Lane, and have been busy settling in since the move.
After 35 years in their family home, the Buckinghamshire couple decided it was time to find a modern house which fit in with their active lifestyles.
George (75), a retired structural engineer and now keen golfer, said: “Our old house had a very large garden which was becoming unmanageable and there were always jobs that needed doing around the house, which became quite costly.
“With busy social lives, we needed somewhere that was going to be low maintenance and our new house has ticked all the boxes.”
Wendy (71) used to work as a secretary at Pinewood Studios and now enjoys time at the gym and looking after her grandchildren. She said: “We love everything about the new house, from the quality of the build to the internal fixtures and fittings and the best thing about it is that we do not need to do any work on it.
“We moved to the area back in the 60s after getting married, so have stayed fairly local over the years. The location is really convenient as we are close to Uxbridge and Windsor.
“The whole experience has been wonderful and the sales negotiator, Katie Weston, went out of her way from start to finish helping us with the move. We would definitely recommend Kebbell to family and friends.”
Katie Weston, sales negotiator for Kebbell Homes, said: “We are delighted that George and Wendy chose to buy their home at Norfolk Place and hope they enjoy many happy years of their retirement here.
“Those who choose to live at Norfolk Place can enjoy an idyllic lifestyle, overlooking open fields, but still be just a short train journey away from the West End, which makes this a perfect location for those who enjoy the best of both worlds. And with the forthcoming Crossrail, the journey will be even quicker; 26 minutes to Bond Street.”
Norfolk Place features a collection of 13 four and five-bedroom beautifully detailed family homes, set in a leafy and discreet village location.
Prices start from £699,950.
