As one of the showroom partners of the Clerkenwell Design Week 2014, luxury kitchen manufacturer bulthaup will be hosting a number of events within its showroom in Clerkenwell, between 20th and 22nd May 2014. Events will include a Miele calorie-neutral pop up steam restaurant and a series of seminars with some of the most prominent names in design and architecture today.
bulthaup have collaborated with luxury appliance manufacturer Miele to host ‘Steam’ a calorieneutral pop up restaurant which will be open in the bulthaup Clerkenwell showroom each day of the festival at 12pm. As part of the experience, diners will participate in a number of activities to ensure they offset their calorie footprint before they start enjoying a five course meal, specially prepared by Frederick Forster; Head Chef of the Boundary Restaurant in Shoreditch. All meals will be prepared using Miele’s range of combination steam cooking ovens.
At 6.30pm on the May 21, Sally Storey, Design Director at John Cullen Lighting will host a kitchen lighting master-class where she will be demonstrating how creative lighting techniques can transform the kitchen.
The following evening, May 22 at 6.30pm, will see architecture firm Studio Weave’s co-founders Je Ahn and Maria Smith giving a talk on ‘Smith’, the pavilion Studio Weave has designed exclusively for Clerkenwell Design Week, and the importance of collaboration in their work.
