Inland Homes help achieve early upgrade for first time buyer in Ipswich

Inland Homes

Inland Homes were making a name for themselves once more by helping young people, this time over in Ipswich for a couple. For many young people, renting a property seems like the only option available to them if they want a place of their own, with nine in ten (89%) young people believing that home ownership is an unachievable goal.

Believing this common misconception, Deanne Smith thought that she would have to rent for many years before buying a property.  To her surprise, and with the assistance of the Help to Buy scheme, Deanne was able to purchase a two-bedroom house just 10-minutes from her mum’s house at the Inland Homes Jasmine Park development in Ipswich.

Deanne (28) and her boyfriend Mitchell (27) have moved into a two-bedroom house at Jasmine Park. Deanne comments: “I was previously privately renting a two-bedroom apartment near the docks in Ipswich, but I knew I wanted to move to a larger property in the future. I wasn’t anticipating buying until later this year but when I came across Jasmine Park, I fell in love! The show home was wonderful and was really good quality too. As a whole, the development is in a quiet location and it’s an ideal size, not too big but still big enough that it has a lovely neighbourhood feel to it.”

Due to her 20 percent discount as part of the Key Worker Scheme, Deanne had previously been paying £585 per month for her rented apartment, however, now she has bought at Jasmine Park, her mortgage is cheaper and she now owns the property.

She explains: “Thanks to the Help to Buy scheme, my mortgage is now £559 per month, which is slightly cheaper despite having a much larger property. I knew that I could only afford a new build property over an old build because of the Help to Buy scheme. However, to my surprise when visiting Jasmine Park, I found that the property was ready to move into with white décor and we upgraded to have flooring included, which is ideal as we can change it in future.

Situated to the west of Ipswich town centre, Jasmine Park comprises a collection of thoughtfully designed homes including one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses. Each property at Jasmine Park effortlessly blends contemporary design with practical convenience. Subject to the stage of the build, purchasers are able to choose from a range of optional extras to personalise their new home.
