London Build 2015 and BSRIA Launch Construction Industry Survey

Survey to establish the outlook of the construction industry with regard to future growth and employment

In recent weeks the construction industry has been front page news with the skills shortage leading the way as the primary obstacle to overcome in the sector. While many reports and surveys address the problems within the industry there is a positive side to all this coverage.

The construction boom is having a significant impact, with output up a staggering 5.5% and forecast to remain at a similar level according to Experian and CPA, which is showing a bright future not only for the sector but for the economy as a whole, as employment grows and new projects continue to arise on a daily basis.

As a part of the CPD accredited Conference and Workshops at London Build 2015 (www.londonbuildexpo.com) there will be a focus on the solutions to these problems as part of efforts to facilitate new connections and extend the impact of the industry.

The London Build 2015 team have compiled a short survey with BSRIA, an Event Partner, to establish the general outlook of the construction industry with regard to future growth and employment to further demonstrate the confidence that is returning to the sector. The survey can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/s/LondonBuildConstructionSurvey.

By doing this survey the BSRIA hope to demonstrate the impact of the boom on individual businesses and uncover the real story behind what needs to be done to address the skills shortage from those who matter most in the industry.

This survey is led by London Build 2015, the leading new construction exhibition in the O2, London on the 18th and 19th of June 2015 and is supported by the Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA).
