Make a spring move to a new home

Whitley Bedroom

NEW homes are springing up in the Staffordshire village of Kinver with the chance to move in time to enjoy the Stamp Duty holiday.

Elan Homes is building 45 homes across a five acre site on Hyde Lane.

Homes now on release should be ready to move into in May, making them eligible for the Stamp Duty exemption and potentially saving buyers thousands of pounds in tax.

Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “Construction of new homes at The Hyde is progressing well and we have three-bedroom Whitley style properties that will soon be ready to move into. Thanks to the extension of the Stamp Duty holiday someone buying a Whitley could find they’re able to save almost £7,000 in tax. This could make a considerable difference to their buying power, helping their money go further.”

A cleverly designed townhouse, priced from £335,000, the Whitley makes the most of the topography of the site and the land available.

At lower ground level it features an integral garage and utility, providing a dedicated space for the washing machine and dryer.

On the ground floor, there’s an open plan kitchen and dining room with Juliet balcony, at the front of the property. The separate lounge is at the rear, with French doors opening out onto the garden. There’s also a convenient cloakroom on this level.

Three bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus the family bathroom, are on the first floor.

Subject to build stage buyers can choose from a host of options to make their home their own from the start, including selecting the kitchen finish, bathroom tiles, wardrobes and flooring.

Residents of The Hyde will be able to embrace rural village living, enjoying leisurely strolls along the banks of the River Stour or through woodlands at Kinver’s Edge, while also benefitting from easy access to the amenities of nearby Stourbridge.
