Miller Homes in the North West is celebrating after Bill Hughes, site manager at their The Views development just outside of Billinge, was named as a Supreme Winner in the NHBC’s Pride in Job Awards for the sixth time.
Bill, from Penketh near Warrington, was put forward to the grand finals in London after having previously been named as a Regional Winner in the Large Housebuilder category and he receives the Supreme Award for the sixth time, having previously won in four consecutive years, from 2003 to 2006, and again in 2011.
Bill, who has worked for Miller Homes for over 15 years, is the housebuilder’s most decorated site manager. This award is Bill’s 56th in the competition and his impressive array includes 23 Quality Awards, 19 Seals of Excellence, eight Regional Awards and now six Supreme Awards.
In this instance, Bill was recognised for his meticulous and consistent attention to detail, as well as scoring highly for the quality of workmanship on his site at every stage of the build. To win the award Bill also demonstrated excellent leadership, technical expertise and robust health and safety processes.

The NHBC’s (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job awards are the house-building industry’s most prestigious awards programme. Running for 36 years, the Pride in the Job Awards are dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building and represents success for the site manager, his team and the building company.
