Barratt London Unveils Landmark Penthouses at Royal Gateway

Barratt London has launched ten premium three-bedroom penthouses at its Royal Gateway development in Acton, an emerging residential hotspot within the London Borough of Ealing. The newly unveiled Marquise & Peruzzi Residences sit atop two of the scheme’s principal buildings, echoing the royal theme with names inspired by gemstone cuts.

Designed by esteemed architects Allies and Morrison, Royal Gateway features six striking red and buff brick buildings. The Marquise building, the tallest at 16 storeys, offers penthouses on its upper two floors with panoramic dual-aspect views across the capital. The adjacent 15-storey Peruzzi building provides similar vistas, alongside access to a private gym and concierge services.

Each penthouse is designed to offer a blend of luxury and flexibility, featuring expansive double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, open-plan living/dining areas, and, in some layouts, separate living and kitchen spaces. Private outdoor terraces with east and west-facing views complement the high-spec interiors, while residents also benefit from communal landscaped gardens, roof terraces, a gym, lounge, and play areas.

The development is strategically positioned for connectivity, with North Acton tube station just a seven-minute walk away, providing direct Central Line services to Oxford Circus in 19 minutes. Acton Main Line, an eight-minute walk, links to the Elizabeth Line, cutting journey times to Bond Street to 11 minutes and Heathrow to 26 minutes. Future transport enhancements, including the arrival of HS2 at nearby Old Oak Common, are set to elevate Acton’s status as one of London’s most accessible districts.

Beyond transport links, Acton boasts a thriving local scene, with Churchfield Road’s independent boutiques and cafés nearby, as well as extensive green spaces—44% of Ealing comprises parks. Educational amenities are also a draw, with 152 highly rated schools within three miles and Imperial College London’s White City campus just two miles away.

Joseph Antoniazzi, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt West London, highlighted the rarity of such homes outside Zone 1: “London isn’t short on penthouses, but as you move beyond the centre, they become increasingly scarce. By Zone 3, finding penthouses with concierge services is almost unheard of. While some of the capital’s priciest penthouses fetch over £100 million, we are offering high-quality, well-connected residences at a far more attractive price point.”

“With Acton’s strong transport credentials and continued regeneration, Royal Gateway is set to attract a broad mix of buyers, from first-time homeowners to investors. These penthouses represent a significant milestone for both the development and the wider area, reinforcing Acton’s reputation as a key growth location within the capital.”

As London’s property market continues to evolve, the launch of these high-spec penthouses underscores the increasing demand for premium homes beyond the traditional prime central districts, signalling strong investment potential in well-connected suburban hubs.
