Bellway wins award for Kent showhome

A showhome at Bellway Kent’s Parsonage Place development in Maidstone has won a coveted international design award.
The four-bedroom detached property at the development off Church Road in Otham has won the Best Residential Interior Showhome category for Kent at the 2023 International Property Awards.

The showhome, which was decorated, dressed and furnished by Show Business Interiors, was declared as the winner of the award in a ceremony at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in London. Bellway Kent commissioned Show Business Interiors to design the showhome with a brief to create a distinctive family home for a successful couple and their two children.

Mark Harrop, Sales Director for Bellway Kent, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won such a prestigious international design award. We would like to thank the International Property Awards for the accolade, Show Business Interiors for their incredible work and the entire team at Bellway Kent for their commitment, dedication and unstinting pursuit of excellence.

“We asked Show Business Interiors to give us a playful twist on luxurious family living which would showcase the full potential of the Milliner home and they fully delivered on that brief. The stunning showhome was fashioned through an imaginative combination of high-end designer lighting, unusual artwork and the creative use of colour with a unifying theme of blue and gold touches throughout.

“A statement chandelier and textured wallpaper with a metallic finish give an opulent feel to the living room, which also features a built-in media wall. Bespoke elements such as the ceiling-high upholstered headboard and an impressive chandelier lend the main bedroom a touch of luxury while a ‘Live Your Passion’ neon sign and grass wall in the football-mad child’s bedroom make the property really stand out.

“This fabulous showhome is a perfect example of how life could look for a couple and their two children living at Parsonage Place, which is a sustainable and family-friendly development, featuring a large expanse of public open space including footpaths, play areas and a central plaza.”

Amie Reeves, Sales Director at Show Business Interiors, said: “Through expressive use of colours, textures, and abstract patterns, we collectively crafted a modern and stimulating environment, achieving a harmonious blend of sophistication and liveliness throughout the home.

“With a strong focus on impactful design rather than excessive sophistication, the showhome stands out as a memorable and luxurious space.”

The accolade is the second time this year that Parsonage Place has been recognised with an award. Site manager Darrell Wilson won a Seal of Excellence Award in the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job competition, which promotes excellence in the construction industry and rewards managers that adhere to and maintain the highest standards on their sites.

Bellway Kent is building 295 homes for private sale at Parsonage Place – including one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses – alongside 126 affordable homes available for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownerships.
