Blueprint’s Trent Basin Show Home Opens In Nottingham

A new £100 million residential development, which connects city life and waterside living, has opened its first show home to give prospective buyers a feel for the new neighbourhood at Trent Basin in Nottingham.

Trent Basin is being delivered by multi award-winning, specialist regeneration developers Blueprint who plan to build up to 500 homes as part of the 250-acre Waterside regeneration area, a highly valued but under-utilised asset of Nottingham. The development celebrates the industrial heritage of the area and embraces the Old Trent Lane Dock which is a distinctive focal point off the River Trent.

Interest in Trent Basin, which offers a range of 2-5 bed apartments and houses, has already been high. Twenty-one of the 45 homes available in Phase One have been reserved off plan since being released for sale in April.  The first residents are expected move in around mid-September 2016.

Potential home owners can now get a closer look at the tall, contemporary homes inspired by European canal houses. Streets present interesting views and vistas, and prioritise people over cars.

The homes will appeal to a diverse range of home buyers from young professionals, growing families as well as those looking to downsize. Property prices start from £225,000 to £400,000 and the Help to Buy scheme is available.

As with all the properties at Trent Basin, the homes are designed with ‘fabric first’ principles to promote sustainable low energy living and maximise the use of natural light. In time customers will also have the opportunity to opt into an innovative community energy scheme which will dramatically reduce utility bills.

Nick Ebbs, Chief Executive of Blueprint Regeneration, said: ”Trent Basin represents a new chapter in Nottingham’s history as the city at long last starts to unlock the enormous potential of the Nottingham Waterside area.

“Trent Basin is a new neighbourhood for the 21st Century. Its prime location means it connects city life and waterside living and celebrates the Trent’s industrial heritage while bringing the very best in contemporary architecture and urban design to the riverside location.

“Our vision is to create a sustainable neighbourhood with a strong sense of community and shared values. Trent Basin is already attracting strong interest from a wide cross section of homebuyers looking for a unique location and design led homes not available anywhere else in Nottingham.”
