Lincolnshire housebuilder, Chestnut Homes, has raised £7,460 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and St Barnabas Hospice.
The funds were raised through the team’s annual raffle which is now in its 20th year and had a total of 55 prizes donated by partner companies and contractors – the highest number to date.
Prizes donated included a four-ball golf day from the 59 Club, a £100 voucher for Lincolnshire eatery The George, Beats studio buds earphones, a 43-inch LG TV, a Fortnum and Mason hamper, plus a variety of wines, champagne and vouchers.
Olivia Stephenson, Marketing Manager, Chestnut Homes said: “Each year, our annual raffle marks a key date in the Chestnut Homes calendar, allowing us to enjoy a special evening with our contractors, suppliers and staff, while raising money for very worthy causes.
“The RNLI and St Barnabas Hospice were our chosen charities this year. We are also partners of St Barnabas’ HeArt Trial, which places beautifully designed heart sculptures across Lincolnshire to bring awareness to the hospice and how it supports the families of Lincolnshire. We will have two dedicated painted hearts along the trail in Boston and Lincoln. We also decided to split the funds with RNLI, which was chosen by one of our amazing members of staff.”
St Barnabas Hospice, which is celebrating its 50th year in 2023, provides expert end-of-life hospice and at home care, as well as allowing its patients to have control and comfort for the final part of their lives.
RNLI is the largest charity that saves lives at sea in the UK and Ireland and has saved more than 142,700 lives since its beginning in 1823.
The raffle rounded off a year of charitable efforts from the housebuilder, with other initiatives including food bank donations, Macmillan coffee mornings and the C2C2C Lincolnshire bike ride which raised funds for a range of local charities including the brain injury foundation Headway Lincolnshire and domestic abuse charity EDAN Lincs.
Olivia added: “We couldn’t achieve these goals without our incredible team, who give their time, money and energy for these great causes. Over the coming year, we look forward to building on last year’s charity efforts and to supporting as many charities and good causes from across Lincolnshire and beyond.”
Chestnut Homes has a range of developments across Lincolnshire including Bridgeways in Alford, Kings Manor in Coningsby, The Meadows in Dunholme, Chantrey Park in Market Rasen, The Quadrant & Heron Park in Wyberton and Millers Walk in Sibsey.
