Cube Homes welcomes Clerk of Works

Following a busy start to 2024 with a number of developments in the pipeline, award-winning developer Cube Homes has welcomed a new Clerk of Works, with the appointment of Rob Heaton.

Rob, who has a construction qualification from Wigan and Leigh College, has vast experience in the property and construction industry. He has held positions at Persimmon Homes, Seddon Construction, and Bass Construction. In 2020, he obtained his Clerk of Works membership and subsequently worked as a freelance Surveyor and Clerk of Works until December 2023.

Now in his new role, Rob is tasked with overseeing the quality of construction at each site as they advance. With several upcoming projects such as Lime Grove in Woodley and Weaver’s Croft in Oldham, his focus remains on upholding exceptional standards throughout every phase of development.

Rob expressed his enthusiasm for his new position, commenting, “Following my initial meeting with the Cube Homes team, I was immediately drawn to the opportunities presented by the developer and felt that the role would be a great fit for me. The dynamics within the small team have made me feel welcomed and valued.

“After working freelance for the past few years, I’m excited to collaborate with a team  again. My goal is to uphold the highest standards of quality on site, striving to achieve a five-star building status and position ourselves at the forefront of the housing market.”

Discussing his plans for the future, Rob says he is looking forward to seeing the company’s continued growth. He added, “I want to aim high and help build a solid presence for the company. I’m also keen to complete my RICS membership within surveying, so it’s a very exciting time with lots of great opportunities!”

Christopher Heath, Managing Director for Cube Homes, said: “Over the past year, Cube Homes has seen the addition of several new roles, and we are thrilled to have Rob join us with his extensive expertise.

“While we already maintain rigorous standards, Rob’s involvement will be instrumental in ensuring our sites consistently meet and exceed expectations, guiding our growth in the right direction throughout our projects.”
