A site manager working at a David Wilson Homes development in Chichester has again been crowned the winner of a top national award for the quality of homes he is building.

Matt Annalls, Site Manager at Madgwick Park in Westhampnett, has been announced as a Seal of Excellence winner at the Pride in the Job Awards 2022 – and this is the second year running he has achieved this prestigious honour.

Organised by the National Housebuilding Council (NHBC), the awards are the most highly regarded in the housebuilding industry. They recognise site managers dedicated to achieving the highest standards in housebuilding, committed to building homes of outstanding quality for their customers.

These awards, now in their 42nd year, rate site managers against key criteria such as technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership, and attention to detail. They celebrate the vital role site managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on-time, on safe sites, and to the highest quality.

This is an exceptional accolade for the Chichester site manager, and Mark Keen, Barratt and David Wilson Homes Construction Director, said: “Receiving a Seal of Excellence Award is a great achievement for any site manager, and places them at the top of their profession. And to receive it twice in as many years, is incredible. My personal congratulations to go to Matt and his team, he should be very proud.”

Matt is thrilled with his award and says it’s all about putting the customer first.

He said: “We are building high-quality properties here in Chichester, and our incentive is always the customer – we want to ensure they get the top-rated home they are looking for.

“I’m delighted to have won this award on behalf of my whole team here at Madgwick Park.”

In total, Barratt Developments site managers have won 33 Seals of Excellence this year. That’s the second highest in its history (36 in 2020), showing its long-term commitment to building high quality homes.

Award winner, Matt Annalls is building homes at Madgwick Park in Chichester. The popular David Wilson Homes development is close to all local conveniences, such as shops and supermarkets, and has excellent commuter links into Chichester city centre and beyond via the A27. The South Downs National Park is also right on the doorstep.
