The Stamp Duty holiday is being extended for home buyers in Worcester thanks to Elan Homes.
With many re-evaluating their housing needs in response to the pandemic, the homebuilder has seen an increase in demand across its developments, including Stableford in Worcester.
In some cases movers have been spurred on by the tax-saving introduced to kick-start the housing market and with that scheme due to come to an end in spring, Elan is offering buyers a lifeline that could save them thousands.
Elan Regional Sales Director Tracey Ball said: “A petition calling for the Stamp Duty holiday to be extended beyond the end of March has attracted more than 50,000 signatures and this reflects feedback we’ve had from buyers who are keen to move before the tax break ends. At Elan we’re effectively extending the tax savings by offering to contribute to the cost of Stamp Duty on selected new homes. It could make a significant difference to buyers’ budgets, helping them move to a home they’ll love inside out.”
Elan’s Stableford development offers a choice of substantial four and five-bedroom homes. Current prices range from £380,000 to £565,000.
Among the homes available with the saving is the four-bedroom Bunbury, offering 1,298 sq ft of living space. Both the dual aspect lounge and open plan kitchen and dining room offer direct access out onto the rear garden.
Upstairs, three of the four bedrooms are doubles, one with en-suite to complement the main bathroom.
Some of the larger properties at Stableford offer two en-suites and a dedicated study, perfect for home working.
All of the homes includes a high specification and subject to build stage, customers will be able to select from a range of standard and upgrades to make their home their own. Options available include the kitchen finish, bathroom tiles, vanity units, wardrobes and flooring.
The homes at Stableford are less than two miles or a 10-minute drive from Worcester city centre, with Worcester Shrub Hill and Worcester Foregate Street stations within easy reach for connections to Birmingham, London Paddington, Gloucester and Bristol.
Junction seven of the M5 is just 15-minutes away, offering links to the M42 and M40.
