Excellent progress from Linden Homes

Construction work from Linden Homes is well under way at the new Pembroke Gardens location in Alderbury where the first residents have now moved in.

The 50-home development is being built by Linden Homes on land that previously belonged to Alderbury Football Club, who have relocated to a neighbouring site.

The housebuilder has already finished 11 of the 50 homes at the site, with several more nearing completion, and 50 per cent of properties have now been sold.

Lisa King, Sales Manager for Linden Homes, said: “We are making excellent progress here at Pembroke Gardens, both in terms of construction and sales. We have now sold more than a third of the properties for private sale.

“Alderbury is a close and thriving community and this development has sparked a lot of interest among people who already live in the village and the nearby area.

“For some it has presented an opportunity to stay in the place they love yet find a home that suits them better. Our contemporary and energy efficient designs combined with the location have proven to be a desirable mix.

“Young families have been attracted by the nearby amenities, the play trail, and school while retirees love the fact they can have a home with all the space they want without the maintenance tasks of an older property and with a more manageable garden.

“Buyers like the small scale of the development too as they want to keep the village feel and be in the heart of a close community. We are glad to be part of that and our plans for the site also include lots of open space for families to enjoy.

“Pembroke Gardens offers the best of both worlds as it is in a semi-rural location, with the New Forest and the coast within easy reach, and Salisbury a little over 20 minutes’ drive away.”

Pembroke Gardens features 39 houses for private sale. Of these, 14 have been sold, and work has finished on six with one now occupied.

The development also includes 11 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership. Construction is complete on five of these and one is now occupied.

The development plans include public open space and a play trail for children. Linden Homes will also provide a new brick-built building for Alderbury and West Grimstead Pre-school and a new hut for the 1st Alderbury Guides.

Linden Homes is part of Vistry Group, which also includes Bovis Homes.
