Ludo is a Director at WSP, leading their Landscape Advisory work. Under his leadership, the UK landscape and urban design business grew from 17 to 120-strong over the past 8 years. He is a thought leader in strategy and design working internationally, with his latest thought piece exploring “What if cities were more like forests?”. He was a co-author of the new Manual for Streets that WSP has written for CIHT and DfT, leading on the Green Blue infrastructure chapter.
Ludo is the project director for the development of the Islington Pocket Park Framework, a project that aims to establish a pipeline of interventions looking to convert dead-end roads into pockets parks at scale in Islington, London and beyond, by private investors. He provided biophilic design direction on HS2 Old Oak Common Station and Tel Aviv Future Transport Interchanges. He is providing strategic advice to clients about how to reshape our relationship with Nature to accelerate restoration and embrace nature positive approaches. He is Recognised Urban Design practitioner as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Institute of Place Management.
