Leaf Living’s latest partnerships with Countryside

Leaf Living

Leaf Living, a specialist provider of professionally managed new-build rental housing in the UK, has announced two successful deals with Countryside, the UK’s mixed-tenure developer, to build 106 new homes in Heybridge, Essex and Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

The two deals, worth approximately £40 million, means that Leaf Living has now passed the significant milestone of securing over £100 million of deals in partnership with Countryside, contributing significantly towards Leaf Living’s growth ambitions while providing much-needed, professionally managed new rental homes across England.

In Heybridge, Leaf Living is delivering 55 new rental homes as part of Countryside’s wider Westcombe Park development. Once complete, Westcombe Park will provide over 1,000 quality new homes to meet local demand, creating a vibrant and integrated new community. This new garden village on the edge of Maldon in Essex, will also feature new schools, a range of community facilities as well as green open spaces.

Tattenhoe Park in Milton Keynes is set to become a welcoming new neighbourhood, including, in partnership with Countryside, the delivery of 51 rental homes ranging from two to four bedrooms. Once complete, the new homes will be well placed to enjoy excellent travel connections to London, Oxford, and Cambridge as well as Tattenhoe Valley Park for leisurely walks and wildlife sporting, whilst being just a 10-minute journey to the heart of Milton Keynes.

These developments will provide rental housing for families, including high-quality private and shared amenities. The provision of rental units will appeal to families, particularly younger families, who want to take advantage of the prime location and superior build quality of a new home without expending the capital required for a deposit, or taking on the responsibility of home ownership while juggling other priorities. Providing rental housing alongside other tenures will also ensure that the development appeals to a diverse range of customers and will help to foster a balanced and inclusive community.

Will Montague, Interim CEO of Leaf Living, said: “I am incredibly excited to be bringing forward these projects in Essex and Buckinghamshire. We are a rapidly growing provider of rental housing and have been working hard with partners like Countryside to expand our portfolio. These latest projects highlight how successful our relationships can be, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with Countryside.”

Philip Chapman, Group Co-Chief Executive, Countryside, said: “This announcement represents an important milestone for our successful working partnership with Leaf Living and is a testament to our shared collaborative approach. They have been brilliant to work with, and we look forward to continuing to deliver more much-needed homes with Leaf Living in the future.”
