Kendrick Homes’ newly appointed Head of Sales, Kirsty Darby, has kicked off 2025 with a strong start, driving a surge in new sales and positioning the developer for a promising year ahead. Following the launch of several new developments, the Black Country-based firm is anticipating significant revenue growth over the next twelve months.
With more than 20 years of experience in the property sector, Kirsty is leading efforts to expand Kendrick Homes’ footprint, with high-profile projects progressing well and new sites in Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and Gloucestershire poised to enter the market. Her expertise in sales, marketing, and branding, coupled with strong personal management and mentoring abilities, is expected to bolster the company’s growth strategy.
“This is an exciting time to be joining Kendrick Homes, one of the UK’s oldest housebuilders with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality properties and communities,” Kirsty said. “The family-run feel of the business really attracted me to the role, and I am excited to help shape the company as it continues into its sixth generation of ownership. Our ability to make quick decisions and our robust pipeline of new land mean we have many exciting schemes in highly sought-after locations.”
Kirsty is also a passionate advocate for increasing female representation in the construction industry. She intends to use her senior leadership position to encourage more women to consider careers in the sector, highlighting the opportunities available at Kendrick Homes.
One such success story is Megan Rea, a former beauty therapist who has made a remarkable career transition into construction. After impressing Kendrick Homes’ leadership team with her skills and dedication as a labourer, Megan was offered a trainee site manager position—an opportunity she eagerly embraced.
“My family works in construction, so I’ve always been drawn to building sites, but I never imagined I could be on track to become a Site Manager by 25,” Megan shared. “I recently completed my first site at Welford on Avon, helping to build 24 fantastic homes. I was given a plot to manage independently and create my own programme around it, which has been instrumental in my professional growth.”
Megan is now focused on completing her Level 4 site supervisory qualification and has her sights set on securing a Site Manager position in the near future. “Kendrick Homes has been incredibly supportive, providing external training and access to experienced mentors. It’s fantastic to be part of a company that is genuinely committed to championing women in construction.”
With a strong leadership team, a growing portfolio of developments, and a clear commitment to fostering talent, Kendrick Homes is well-positioned for a successful year ahead.
