Increase your security, reduce your insurance risk.
Security and insurance work together hand in hand – It makes perfect sense that the more you invest in security protection the more you reduce your risk of claiming under insurance and consequently save on insurance premiums. This is why IDS Group have recently teamed up with Omar Insurance to offer preferential rates on Park and Leisure Home Insurance and Security packages.
In 2014 the UK holiday industry witnessed the rise of the staycation – 58% of British residents holidayed in the UK (Visited England). With this growth UK holiday sites are getting busier and busier. As they grow they are becoming more demanding to manage. Therefore it is logical for park managers and owners to seek systems and services to make the process of managing their sites easier and more efficient.
Furthermore, there is the overall security aspect to consider, with the increase in guests, it is harder to monitor who is there and ensure that they are safe. We have all seen newspaper headlines about crimes committed in and around residential and leisure parks, from assaults on guests and staff, to vandalism and theft of static homes and tourer units. In fact the theft of caravans rocketed 20 per cent in 2015 according to The National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NAVCIS). To help tackle some of these issues, IDS Group advises on security solutions specifically for leisure, residential parks and camping sites, offering solutions ranging from ANPR access control, CCTV to thermal imaging cameras.
Nick Bailey, Business Development Manager at BGi.uk, adds, “Omar Insurance is an exciting partnership which combines Omar’s 50 years of experience as market leaders in the manufacture of quality park homes and leisure lodges, with insurance brokers BGi.uk who have an in-depth knowledge developed over 30 years trading in this specialist market.”
“Traditionally, insurance policies offered to all types of residential, leisure and holiday homes owners have been less comprehensive than a typical household product. Our insurance products provide all the key features and benefits enjoyed by traditional home owners, whilst meeting the demands and needs specific of residential parks and holiday homes.”
Tas Kyriacou, IDS Group’s Business Development Consultant, concludes, “This partnership makes sense as both our brands work hard to tailor products to meet the growing demands of the UK’s leisure and residential park home and camping/glamping markets. We are looking forward to working on the first few projects together.”
