With almost a third of homes already sold, Spitfire Homes has launched a Customer Suite for its 45-residence collection in Ombersley, Worcestershire, ranked among the “most desirable” villages in the UK.
The latest data from Savills saw Ombersley feature for the second time in a list of the most sought-after rural villages in the UK. In addition, Worcestershire-based estate agent Nicol&Co, which is marketing the collection for Spitfire Homes, reports an uptick in demand for high-quality, energy efficient new properties, as buyers move away from fixer-upper older homes due to rising costs of materials and labour.
Spitfire’s latest 45-home collection, Faber, is bringing a range of two- to four-bedroom properties to the village, blending timeless exterior features with contemporary interiors to support modern lifestyles. As part of its commitment to the area, the homebuilder will provide funding towards Westacre Middle School and the provision of a home to school transport service, as well as improving public open spaces and sports pitches.
Taking inspiration from the traditional architecture running through Ombersley, Faber boasts a mix of characterful brickwork and stylish white render. Internally, each property features considered and contemporary layouts, benefiting from a hand-selected specification which includes underfloor heating, bespoke fitted wardrobes and ceramic tiling as standard. Each home also includes an individually designed kitchen from a bespoke range designed exclusively for Spitfire Homes. Supporting a balanced lifestyle, this picturesque village benefits from a wide range of amenities including local shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as strong connections to Worcester, Droitwich Spa and Kidderminster.
Matt Vincent, Sales Director at Spitfire Homes, said:
“Ombersley continues to make headlines and secure recognition for being one of the most desirable places to live in in the UK. As such, demand for property continues to rise in the area, so we’re pleased to open the doors to our new Customer Suite at Faber and give people the opportunity to own a Spitfire property in this sought-after location.
“We are committed to investing in Worcestershire and the wider Midlands, by building design-led, sustainable properties that our customers can be proud to call home. We’re already seeing strong interest in homes at Faber, with almost a third of properties already reserved on site, and now that our Customer Suite is open, we expect the collection to continue proving popular with a range of prospective buyers.”
Matt Nicol, Managing Director at Nicol&Co, said:
“Ombersley is truly unique. Blending stunning countryside, connectivity and a raft of local amenities, it’s no surprise that it’s continuing to attract buyers looking for a rural, but easily accessible destination.
“All homes at Faber have been designed to be highly energy efficient with a range of future-proofing features and technologies, including air source heat pumps, electric car charging points, and underfloor heating.
“This meets the demand of today’s buyers who are actively looking for new build properties that are going to cut energy and maintenance costs in the short and long term. Faber ticks all the boxes so we look forward to welcoming prospective purchasers and helping them to secure their dream home.”
