Target Timber Systems is excited to announce that they have been chosen to supply timber frame systems for 20 new eco-focused homes to be built in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
The new detached and semi-detached eco-friendly homes will be constructed using sustainable timber frame systems that give outstanding levels of insulation and energy efficiency; Target Timber’s custom-made closed panel system is factory insulated with a vapour control layer and service void that achieves a ‘U’ value of 0.17 for an EPC-A or high B rating.
As a full-service, off-site timber frame manufacturer, Target Timber Systems will provide an end-to-end packaged service for the project including a full set of structural calculations for Building Control and NHBC certification, all internal partitions, all external panels, Steico engineered “I” beam floor joists, 22mm Egger resin impregnated floor boards, roof trusses plus bracing and binders.
Their delivery and erect programme will see the manufacture and delivery to site of all of the required materials for the project in just 8 weeks. Their team of specialist timber frame erectors will then begin the construction phase, fully constructing each 3 or 4-bedroom house, including the wall panels and roof trusses, in just a week.
Timber frame is increasingly becoming the natural choice of construction material for house building. Timber is sustainable and trees soak up carbon dioxide and keep it locked inside; it has the lowest C02 of any building material and every timber frame home built saves around 4 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
Target Timber Systems sources its wood from sustainably run European forests that grow by 3,500 square miles each year.
Target Timber Systems is renowned for producing premium quality timber frame products that are matched by a first-class service.
The company is independently audited by STA (Structural Timber Association) and consistently achieves Gold Assure standard, further evidenced by the vast amount of repeat business they receive, along with a growing customer base of property developers all over the UK.
Nick Whittle, Joint Managing Director of Target Timber Systems said “We are thrilled to be a part of this eco-focused housing project that will deliver 20 beautiful new ‘green’ homes that will be finished to exceptional standards, and importantly, they will allow families to live in homes that are harmless to the planet.”
