Specialist uPVC and composite door supplier, Vista Panels have renewed their membership with the official police security initiative, Secured by Design (SBD), achieving Police Preferred Specification (PPS) on an impressive range of their best-selling doors, locks and hardware.

Vista Panels are a renowned door supplier, supplying many tradesmen across the UK with some of the highest quality uPVC and composite doors. Vista pride themselves on their ability to ensure that their products are manufactured to meet the requirements of all the latest industry standards, including PAS24:2016 CE marked/UKAS marked and ISO relevant ISO standards.

Having been proud SBD members for the last 16 years, Vista Panels continue to show their dedication and commitment to supplying their customers – both within social housing and newbuild properties – with high-quality, reliable and secure doors. Not only does this offer greater peace of mind to the homeowner, but also to the tradesmen fitting the doors.

Secured by Design is owned by the UK Police Service and works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings, with the specific aim to reduce crime and help people live more safely. SBD is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK.

For over 30 years, Secured by Design’s product-based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification has and continues to provide a recognised standard for all security related products that can both deter and reduce crime. SBD work alongside a range of manufacturers and standards authorities to ensure that security standards are current and up to date with emerging criminal trends.

With over one million homes built to SBD standards, witnessing reductions in crime of up to 87%, SBD plays a hugely significant role in the process of designing out crime by good design. As a result, sustainable reductions in crime have been witnessed each and every year.

Established in 1995, Vista have over 25 years of experience in manufacturing door products in the UK from their Wirral-based manufacturing plant facility.
