Michelle Bentham and her daughter Faye have been busy raising funds for their charity bike ride across Cuba later this year.
“It has been a busy six months organising various local events,” says Michelle. “So far we have raised just under half of the £5,800 required and therefore the additional £500 from David Wilson Homes is most welcome.”
The charities for whom they are making this major journey are Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action under the banner of Women v Cancer cycle challenges.
The expedition Michelle and Faye are endeavouring to make in company with 38 other intrepid ladies is a 400 kilometres cycle over a five day period across Cuba leaving from Havana and completing their journey at Sancti Spiritus.
Continued Michelle: “Iit will be life changing in many ways for us achieving our own personal challenge and for the women who benefit from the incredible work of three special charities working in the field of breast, cervical and ovarian cancer.“
