One of the leading suppliers to the UK new build sector, Designer Contracts is celebrating after receiving two additional accreditations.

The Constructionline Accreditation is a UK Government certification service providing an up-to-date register of pre-qualified local and national suppliers to the construction industry and means that all of the company’s health and safety information can be viewed at one source, making it more convenient for the constructor.
Exor accreditation demonstrates the company’s ability to meet the rigorous pre-qualification requirements within the private and public sectors, signifying strong financial stability, compliance with legal requirements and competency.
Said Peter Kelsey, md at Designer Contracts: “The accreditations are highly useful tools, increasing efficiency and encouraging high standards throughout the industry.
“We take health and safety extremely seriously and have an on-going IOSH training programme for senior staff to ensure health and safety is at the centre of everything that we do.
“We are delighted that the company’s standards have been recognised and further enhanced with the two additional accreditations.”
The awards are in addition to a number of other qualifications and accreditations that the business already boasts, including: a CSCS Platinum Award, which all fitters and visiting staff carry with them; Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS); National House Building Council Health and Safety Competence Assessment Scheme (NHBC).
Designer Contracts is now also a member of Carpet Recycling UK (CRUK) and is trialling solutions to recycle its post installation carpet waste with some of its regional offices. Once finessed, the intention is to roll the scheme out nationally to all 12 regions.
Designer Contracts is the largest supplier of floorcoverings to the new build sector. As well as floorcoverings, the company provides a showhome design service, curtain, blind, furniture and lighting packs.
