DESIGNER CONTRACTS PUTS WHEELS IN MOTION FOR CHARITY

Charity bike ride, in aid of the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust

September will see Designer Contracts fitters, ex-Scottish and Irish footballers, Frank McGarvey and Patrick Bonner take to the roads on a mission to raise money for a charity set up in memory of late Scottish International footballer, Tommy Burns.
The charity bike ride, in aid of the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust, will see cyclists visit all 12 Premier League football clubs in Scotland. It starts at the most northerly, Ross County FC in Ross-shire, moving down the country, until reaching the final destination at Kilmarnock – in total cycling 500 miles over a week-long period.
Said Kenny Collins, general manager at Designer Contracts Scotland: “The ride is a fantastic opportunity to increase awareness of the issues surrounding skin cancer and earn vital funds for the charity.”
Tommy Burns died in 2008 at the age of 51 after being diagnosed with skin cancer in 2006. The Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust charity was set up by his family after his death to help raise money and build awareness of the disease. The ride will start on 11 September and will finish on 18 September.
If you would like to make a donation towards the charity please contact Kenny Collins at Designer Contracts – 01324 676100.
