Celebrate the summer with this clever combination of new finishes in Cesar’s Kalea kitchen from interior architect specialists NGI Design, where beautiful, high-gloss mustard straight from the catwalk contrasts perfectly against the more earthy tones of sophisticated clay rough oak.
NGI Design Co-director Darren Cherry says: “This is a perfect example of the latest trend for two-tone kitchen design, where silky, high gloss still proves popular thanks to its rich, reflective qualities. Colour is playing a big part in kitchen zoning, particularly when combining the more adventurous shades with muted tones for a sleek finish in modern kitchen design.”
In this open-plan scheme, the island unit takes centre stage in high-gloss mustard lacquer, while Trilli open shelving in the same finish helps to highlight another zone. The worktops look suitably sleek in Gris Serena composite, which forms a stylish breakfast bar off-set from the island unit.
Finishing touches include chrome aluminium Lexi handles on the central island and a smooth, push-pull opening device for the handleless units. This Italian kitchen style is priced from around £20,000 at NGI Design.
