The Southern Homebuilding and Renovating Show: WIN TICKETS

If you’re in the market to spruce up your home or embark on a self-build journey, head along to The Southern Homebuilding and Renovating Show, returning to Sandown Park, Surrey from 29-30 June 2013.

From daily seminars through to masterclasses and exhibitor consultations, visitors will receive guidance on how to build their own property or renovate an existing one, as well as discover the latest trends, products and pioneering eco technologies. The UK’s leading property experts such as Michael Holmes, editor-in-chief of Homebuilding and Renovating magazine, will be available for free individual appointments to discuss self-building, home remodelling, design, sustainability, planning permission and even financial recommendations.

New to the show this year is Bob Branscombe, one of the UK’s leading chartered surveyors, who recently worked on the Shard, Europe’s highest building. He will be bringing his knowledge of project and cost control to his free seminar daily sessions. With over 25 years experience in both self-build and construction, Bob still remains excited and enthused by all buildings and harnesses a longtime obsession with hands on self-building.

For the first time, internationally renowned paint brand, Dulux, is offering a free design service to provide visitors with interior decor suggestions, as well as showcasing the hottest trends and paint colours for 2013.

If it’s an oak framed home you are looking for, bring along your building proposals to the Oakwrights Design Consultation Service on stand 585 and receive tips from a dedicated team of experienced and creative designers who will help you turn your plans into a workable frame.

Alternatively, visit the Kingspan Potton Lounge for further bespoke designs and technical ideas on building a house – from minimalist to country cottage styles, Potton caters for your personal taste and budget.

She will be on hand to inform visitors about the ins and outs of building regulations, to help avoid costly mistakes and pitfalls.

Visitors will be able to attend free daily seminars and masterclasses led by key experts within the industry covering every aspect of homebuilding including design, self-build, extensions, remodelling, renewable technologies, budgets and legal issues.
