Showhome set to open at Bishop’s Stortford development

A new sales suite and show apartment is set to be unveiled at a Bellway development which is bringing 149 homes to Bishop’s Stortford.

Bellway is constructing a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments at the development on the former railway goods yard site off Station Road.

The Exchange at Goodsyard represents the first phase of homes to be delivered as part of the wider regeneration of the town centre site, which will bring over 500 new homes, as well as a care home, hotel, commercial and office spaces, and two multi-storey car parks.

Greg Allsop, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway North London, said: “As the first residential phase of this major regeneration project in Bishop’s Stortford, The Exchange at Goodsyard has attracted a huge level of interest from not only potential buyers but the wider public.

“The new show apartment will provide the first opportunity for people to look inside a completed home at the development, experience the development itself, and get a feel for the kind of lifestyle they could be living in this vibrant town centre location.

“Designed with modern living in mind, the ‘type 10’ show apartment features an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area which leads out onto the balcony. Bedroom one includes a fitted wardrobe and en suite shower room and the second double bedroom has a designated home working area with additional USB sockets.

“Situated in the heart of the town centre and just a short walk from Bishop’s Stortford railway station, the development is ideal for commuters and those with busy lifestyles who want the convenience of having shops, restaurants, bars and a whole host of leisure attractions on their doorstep.

“Besides delivering much-needed new homes, the Goodsyard scheme is bringing significant investment, job opportunities and a new station square and transport interchange to Bishop’s Stortford.

“We are playing a leading role in this once-in-a-generation transformation of the town centre and have recently acquired land for a second phase of homes, to be known as Southside Locks at Goodsyard, which will provide a further 174 apartments within the wider Goodsyard scheme.”

Construction work is progressing well at The Exchange at Goodsyard, where the first residents are due to move into their homes in early 2022.

A selection of one and two-bedroom apartments are currently available, with prices starting from £265,000.
