Bellway Project Manager, Peter Lawrie, has won the NHBC Pride in the Job Large Builder Regional Award for Scotland.
The award means Peter will go on to represent Scotland at the UK Supreme Awards Final in London next year. Here, he will compete against some of the country’s best Site Managers.
This is the second time Peter has won the Regional Award for Scotland for the same development, Earl’s Way in Glenrothes. He previously won in 2023.
Peter is no stranger to NHBC recognition having achieved ten Quality Awards and six Seals of Excellence throughout his career. In 2024, Peter competed in the UK Supreme Final in the Large Builder. He will have the opportunity to contest the top award in January.
Commenting on his win Peter said, “This is a huge testament to the contractors and everyone involved in the development. The award belongs to the whole team and not myself. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved at Earl’s Way and grateful to everyone who has played a part.”
Celebrating housebuilding excellence
Each year, the NHBC, National House Building Council, invites around 7,500 Site Managers to enter the Pride in the Job Competition and undergo a rigorous assessment of their development, including spot checks. Successful candidates receive a Quality Award before progressing to the Seal of Excellence Awards. The NHBC then selects four Regional Award winners across the small, medium, large builder and multi storey categories.
A team achievement
John Dierikx, Construction Director for Bellway Homes Ltd (Scotland East), said, “I am incredibly proud of Peter and everyone at Earl’s Way. Peter sets impeccable standards for himself and for the team around him. He leads by example, brings people with him and has created an exacting culture across all the build disciplines.
“Peter thoroughly deserves this recognition. I know he would be the first to say that this is a team achievement. The Earl’s Way team and supply chain have played a huge part in what has been achieved. They should all be proud of the success. To see Peter win his second Scottish Regional award with Bellway Scotland East was a fantastic moment for all of us. I am personally delighted for him and the team. I know they will represent Bellway and Scotland with real distinction at the Supreme Awards in January.”
Earl’s Way is a charming development nearing completion with a range of four bedroom homes available with prices ranging from £348,995. Further information is available from www.bellway.co.uk
