Industry Champion of the Year Finalists
This year’s finalists each came from very different parts of the industry. However, all play a significant role in driving meaningful change.
Andrea White, founder of Women Talking Fire, has become a recognised advocate for diversity, inclusion and professional development across the built environment. Her work has encouraged greater representation within the industry while supporting individuals to develop successful careers across construction and safety.
Representing the infrastructure sector, John Marsh of GTC was recognised for his contribution to delivering essential utility networks that support thousands of new homes across the UK. His leadership has helped facilitate sustainable residential developments while ensuring critical infrastructure keeps pace with housing demand.
Dr Victoria Hills, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Building, was shortlisted for her continued commitment to raising professional standards throughout construction. Her leadership has strengthened the industry’s focus on competence, sustainability and inclusivity. She is committed to influence positive change across the built environment.
Completing the shortlist was Stephen Johnson of Quooker. His vision and leadership have helped redefine one of the most familiar features of the modern kitchen. By championing innovation and driving wider market adoption, Stephen has played a pivotal role in transforming the boiling water tap from a specialist product into a solution now specified in homes across the country.
Each finalist has demonstrated the qualities that define genuine industry leadership. Their work champions for innovation, commitment and a willingness to create lasting positive change.
Who was voted Industry Champion?
As the Showhome readers’ votes were counted, one individual emerged as the clear choice for this year’s highest individual honour.
The Industry Champion of the Year 2026 was presented to Stephen Johnson of Quooker.
