UK demand for stainless steel kitchen sinks is rising, with Reginox highlighting durability, innovation and long-term value through its latest market-led campaign

According to latest figures, the UK’s stainless steel kitchen sink market is projected to grow by almost six percent by 2033, increasing from US $3.8 billion last year to US $7.5 billion.

The growth is being attributed to increased residential construction as a result of government initiatives, household renovations and evolving consumer preferences, according to Reports Insights Consulting, a leading global research company offering data-centric services to its customers.

Its report says consumers value stainless steel’s durability, longevity and low maintenance, which resonate with the desire for long term value and reliability.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is highly valued for its exceptional durability, resistance to corrosion, heat, and impact, and its long lifespan. It’s a non-porous surface and ease of cleaning make it a highly hygienic choice, requiring minimal maintenance.

Stainless steel is the core of the Reginox UK sink range, accounting for more than half of all its UK sales. All its stainless-steel sinks are manufactured by its parent company in Holland and have propelled Reginox UK to its prominent position in the market over the past 25 years.

In fact, Reginox Holland was a pioneer of manufacturing techniques that have since set sink industry standards, paving the way for a revolutionary, market-leading collection of coloured stainless-steel sinks, introduced following years of research and development.

The coloured coating was achieved using physical vapour deposition (PVD), a technique used to deposit thin films, one atom or molecule at a time, onto the steel surface to create a hard, durable surface.

Indeed, PVD coloured stainless steel is scratch resistant, ideal for high traffic and heavy-use areas, as the tough finish is about 10 times harder than the stainless steel itself.

But back to traditional stainless steel and Reginox has chosen a sink from its NEW YORK range, the NEW YORK 50×40 single bowl with a fixed flange, as one of the sinks spearheading its new advertising concept for 2026.

Reginox for life, creating memories together

Called ‘Reginox for life, creating memories together’, it highlights the role of the kitchen sink (and tap) in and among some of life’s key milestones, and begins the story with a new home themed advertisement.

“The kitchen sink and tap need to be a perfect combination – well made, durable, stylish, practical and, of course, represent excellent value,” says Dave Mayer, Reginox UK’s Commercial Director.

“All kinds of activities involve the kitchen sink and tap, and we hope to capture some of those moments in our advertisements. But the Reginox for life tagline is also a nod to the fact that our stainless-steel sinks come with a lifetime warranty.”
