Target Timber Systems supply most sectors of the construction industry, which includes exclusive bespoke dream homes, hotels, apartments, school buildings, nursing homes, private and social housing developments. Our success lies in our experience and strategic partnerships with both key services and suppliers.

Our reputation of quality and reliability results in repeat business and recommendation.

Why Timber Frame?

  • It’s a strong, renewable material
  • It’s environmentally friendly when sustainably farmed for use
  • Reduces construction time on site by up to 40%
  • Reduced heating costs on completion due to better U-values than other building systems
  • Greater accuracy and a better standard of finish
  • Improved sound insulation
  • Waste wood can be recycled

A timber frame home is not only a warm, comfortable and safe place in which to live, but a home that is also helping to tackle climate change. What more could you ask for?

There are many advantages to timber frame construction, not only that it has a long history in the industry. Its best-known and widely promoted quality is its environmental excellence. The government’s future home standards have indicated that we as an industry need to move towards zero carbon by 2050. At Target Timber Systems, we support the circular economy approach to construction and promote sustainability as a core ethos.

The benefits don’t stop there. With timber frames, the construction times are reduced by up to 40% and there are significant carbon savings in the homes day to day use. Using a standard 140mm stud Timber Frame system achieves U-values between 0.30 and 0.27 using readily available and standard insulation – and using higher performance insulation and insulating breather membranes can boost these figures even more. The frame also offers a lighter form of construction which can be of benefit to foundations particularly where poor ground conditions prevail.

A thriving Timber Frame industry means the need for well run, sustainably managed forests, full of trees that soak up carbon dioxide within their core and keep it locked inside. Timber is ecologically sound, sustainable as a truly renewable building material. Timber is grown quicker than it is used and if new trees are planted to replace those harvested, timber will continue to be available. Decision made?
