Appliance manufacturer Beko has been recognised on TIME Magazine’s inaugural list of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies. Securing the 44th spot on the prestigious list, with a score of 75.68 out of 100, the company continue to establish themselves at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing.

Beko is the highest-ranking home appliance company on the list and placed fourth overall among all companies in the “manufacturing and industrial production” sectors, recognising their commitment to implementing sustainable manufacturing methods and establishing environmentally conscious processes throughout the company.

As a supplier to the housebuilding industry, Beko Appliance Partners, the company’s dedicated contract specification division, fully recognise their responsibility to support their housebuilder and developer partners’ sustainability objectives, and are proud to offer energy and water-efficient products which not only meet, but exceed government regulations.

TIME Magazine’s Most Sustainable Companies ranking assessed over 5,000 global companies using a four-step methodology including evaluating a company’s participation in recognised sustainability initiatives like Science Based Targets, the availability, quality and adherence to international standards of companies’ sustainability reports and analysing environmental and social responsibility performance indicators. Beko’s commitment is detailed in their recently published 2023 sustainability report which outlines the company’s progress towards their ambitious goal of becoming a Net Zero business by 2050.

Beko’s recognition by TIME and Statista is a significant milestone that celebrates the company’s achievements and reinforces their commitment to driving sustainable change. As Beko continues to innovate and lead in sustainability, it sets a powerful example for the industry and aims to inspire a collective effort towards a more sustainable world.
