Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee at The Great British Home Show with the country’s biggest indoor street party

THE Great British Home Show 2012 will be holding what is expected to be the biggest indoor street party in the country to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

A whole area of the lower level at Glow, the new £60 million exhibition centre at Bluewater in Kent, will allow show visitors to celebrate with in style fairground attractions, street entertainers and musicians.

There will also be the very best British food and drink from some of the finest suppliers in the country including fine English wine from Chapel Down Vineyards and food from the likes of Aubrey Allen, supplier to top restaurants and award-winning Stokes Sauces.

The Great British Home Show is timed to coincide with the long Jubilee weekend and it will be officially opened on Thursday May 31 by celebrity DIYer Craig Phillips and BBC’s Oliver Heath and runs for five days until Monday June 4.

The show, which is sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, will feature the very best in contemporary bathroom design, beds by leading manufacturers (including Hypnos, Reylon and Frank Hudson) and furniture from Con-Tempo, a leader in British design, and Touchwood, which manufactures bespoke furniture and will show a custom-built kitchen.

If you are thinking of extending your home the show has expert advice from the Federeation of Master Builders, loft conversion experts to advise on attic conversions and the latest in conservatory and orangery design.

Some of Britain’s leading home and garden designers will be sharing their top tips alongside unique garden displays and the latest garden furniture, including Oceans Outdoor, that will help visitors turn their garden into an outdoor living room.

Alongside are exhibitors with furnishings and decoration to buy that you won’t find on any high street.
