If you dream of chic decorations hung over the fireplace, glistening fairy lights adorning your staircase or a wreath to welcome friends and family at the front door… it’s time to check out the Command Brand from 3M.
The perfect temporary hanging solution, Command’s range of damage-free adhesive strips and hooks let you get into the festive spirit without marking your walls. Holding fast to wood, tile, metal or painted surfaces, the Command Brand from 3M allows you to hang all your decorations and cards without the need for nails or screws.
Best of all, when Christmas is over and the time comes to take down your decorations, your hooks can be removed quickly and easily by simply pulling the strip underneath. Why not try out one of these simple ideas to transform your home this Christmas?
Make a feature out of your fireplace
A fireplace is the perfect festive focal point for your front room. How about getting the kids involved to create paper snowflakes to hang above the fireplace? This fuss-free, sophisticated look is surprisingly easy to achieve.
To hang the snowflakes, we used the Command Medium Clear Hook for the central flake and Command Clear Decorating Clips for the two either side.
Hanging mock presents around the fireplace is a great way to join the festivities without the worry of your loved ones trying to guess the gift! To create a wooded effect to complement the fireplace, we wrapped small packages in white paper and decorated with natural coloured stars and string. Command Clear Decorating Clips are ideal for hanging these lightweight items – try them at different heights for maximum impact.
Get to grips with your fairy lights
Fairy lights are a great way to add a little sparkle and festive cheer to any space, and with Command Clear Decorating Clips, your hooks won’t detract from the main event. To create a starlight effect, intertwine small fairy lights with clear baubles or brighten up your staircase with a mix of fairy lights and coloured decorations.
Get crafty with your cards
To create a design feature from your cards, how about transforming a bare wall with a Christmas Card Tree? Use small fairy lights attached by Command Clear Decorating Clips to create your shape, then secure all your cards with Command Poster Strips. This design is great if you live in a small flat or house. Plus, attaching them to the wall means you can still read them too!
Your Christmas wreath
Looking for a way to decorate the outside of your home? Hanging a wreath and decorating your door frame looks festive, but it can be a tricky look to pull off if you don’t want to leave a permanent nail or hook on your door. Here we used Command Clear Decorating Clips to attach our lights and the Command Large Clear Hook to hang our wreath.
Or why not hang a wreath inside your home? Use a hook in a complementary colour like the Command Nickel Hook
To make hanging as easy as possible, follow the on-pack instructions and check that the item you want to hang is within the weight limits indicated on pack. It is recommended that you put the Command Products onto the surface and leave them for an hour to ensure they stick fast before you hang your items.
Available in a number of sizes and weight variants, you can be sure all your decorations will stay up for the whole festive season with Command Products. For more tips and ideas please visit: www.commandstrips.co.uk
