British kitchen manufacturer Omega, celebrated World Quality Week by recognising the hard work, dedication, and valuable contribution of their employees with a series of awards for outstanding service to quality.

World Quality Week ran from 6-10 November this year and as an annual global campaign, raises awareness of the quality management profession, with a new theme every year. This year’s theme was ‘realising your competitive potential’.

The week commenced with the employee appreciation awards, where Dave Curtis, Quality Manager at Omega and members of the management team highlighted outstanding and dedicated individuals across various departments who drive positive change and make a significant impact in their respective areas.

In recognition of their commitment to quality, each of the chosen employees was presented with a £50 voucher. Recipients included Andy Goodwin, Paint Shop Operative; James Dacres, Transport; Paul Wilmot and Eric Sayles, Machine Operators; Nichola Daley, Customer Service Administrator and Marta Duczmal, Assembly Operator.

Dave Curtis delivered a series of presentations to the company, emphasising the company’s commitment to quality and outlining its vision for 2024 and 2025. Company Directors were present and joined the manufacturing teams on the factory floor, engaging in quality-driven tasks essential for delivering exceptional finished kitchens.

“World Quality Week gave us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the hard-working employees who go above and beyond to deliver excellent quality from production and design to service and delivery,” said Dave Curtis. “We also used the week to immerse staff from all areas of the business in Omega’s quality control practices and ethos. Our journey toward quality isn’t just a one-week event but an ongoing and collective effort achieved by the commitment of all Omega employees.”
